This sweater is knitted from the highly sought-after and exclusive Voe True Shetland wool. This is a pure, natural, undyed virgin fibre, hand-sorted and graded by experts to ensure the highest quality and the most genuine Shetland experience possible. Harley offers two versions of this wool: the 1 Ply, the lighter of the two, making it perfect for mid-season wear.
The Shetland sheep that produce this wool often graze along the steep cliffs of Voe, reaching the shoreline at low tide to feed on seaweed. The distinctive fleece they provide is renowned worldwide and was notably worn by Sir Edmund Hillary during the first ascent of Everest in 1953.
Lightweight and knitted with an airy stitch for added comfort, this sweater is ideal in between seasons or on cooler days. Its classic straight fit and comfortably wide crew neck make it easy to wear over a shirt or a simple T-shirt.
