Description

The Wool Vincent Fishtail Parka takes its inspiration from the M-65 Fishtail Parka, one of the most recognizable silhouettes in American military clothing. FrizmWORKS retains its generous proportions, protective length and characteristic fishtail back while translating this utilitarian construction into a fabric much less commonly associated with this type of garment.

The outer shell replaces the cotton/nylon blend used on the classic Vincent M1965 with a fabric composed of 50% wool and 50% polyester. Wool provides warmth, texture and a more refined appearance, while the addition of polyester helps improve the fabric's stability and resistance to deformation. The result retains the distinctive presence of a military fishtail parka while offering a softer appearance naturally suited to a winter wardrobe.

The parka retains the same removable liner system as the Vincent M1965. Fully quilted and made from polyester, the liner can be removed when temperatures become milder, but can also be worn independently as a lightweight jacket. Its symmetrical construction, own pockets and snap buttons allow it to function as a genuine standalone garment rather than simply an internal layer.

This design provides several different ways to wear the parka: it can be worn with or without the liner, while the removable hood can also be detached depending on the weather conditions or desired look.

The large patch pockets, protective storm flap over the central closure and brass-tone metal hardware reinforce the model's military inspiration. The Wool Vincent therefore retains the functionality and distinctive volume of the Vincent while offering a noticeably different interpretation of the original parka through its use of wool.

We recommend choosing your usual size if you want to retain the volume intended by FrizmWORKS and make full use of its layering potential. Sizing down can be considered for a more contained silhouette, although the generous proportions remain an integral part of the parka's design.

We are already very familiar with the Vincent M1965 and particularly appreciate its faithful proportions and intelligent modular construction. This new version is especially interesting because it retains all of those qualities while substantially changing the character of the garment through its choice of fabric.

The wool blend and Brown colour bring a warmer and more refined dimension to a silhouette traditionally associated with military cotton fabrics. It is a clever way for FrizmWORKS to evolve one of its signature designs without altering its fundamental construction, and a particularly interesting alternative for those who appreciate the M-65 but are looking for a more winter-oriented interpretation.
