The Knit Corduroy Button-Down Shirt from Good On combines the elegance of fine corduroy with the flexibility of knit fabric, thanks to its innovative Knit Corduroy material. It offers exceptional comfort while maintaining a natural, structured drape, characteristic of Japanese craftsmanship.
Designed for everyday wear, this shirt pairs a refined texture with the softness of a knitted jersey. It is ideal for transitional seasons, autumn and spring, due to its lightweight warmth and pleasant touch. Unlike pigment dyeing, which Good On specializes in, this model is dyed with indigo. Nevertheless, the dyeing technique is very similar. As it is not a uniform dyeing process, the shirt develops a vintage look and uneven coloration. Each piece varies slightly from batch to batch.
What sets Good On apart is their expertise in dyeing techniques used to color their garments. The brand is especially known for pigment dyeing.
Simply put, if you cut the garment in half, the core of the cotton remains white. Coloring only occurs in post-production, after the shirt is fully constructed. With pigment dyeing, the dye does not penetrate deeply; it only colors the surface of the fabric.
Because this is not a uniform dyeing process, the fabric develops a vintage look and uneven color. Each piece varies slightly from one batch to another, and this unique patina will continue to develop over time and washes.

Good On also pays special attention to the durability of their seams. During the dyeing process, garments undergo significant friction and twisting, which requires highly durable stitching.
