The Wooden Geta Sandals by Beams Japan reinterpret the traditional Japanese geta sandal in a contemporary and comfortable version. Designed in collaboration with the Uratsuka Kobo workshop, they combine historic artisanal craftsmanship with modern technical elements.
The hinoki (Japanese cypress) sole provides a natural feel against the foot, with a smooth texture and a distinctive woody fragrance. Its ergonomic shape follows the contour of the foot for improved everyday support. Equipped with a BIRKENSTOCK-inspired outsole, they offer enhanced cushioning, better stability, and easier walking compared to traditional geta. The woven cotton straps are soft and comfortable, gradually adapting to the shape of the foot.
