Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and comforting socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara, with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continually grown through successive generations and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.

Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.

The Silk Cotton Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston, USA, is home to many baseball fans but mainly a significant working-class presence. Just like any good workwear or footwear, these socks are designed to provide unmatched comfort and increased durability throughout their use.

These socks are made from a base of what is called "virgin" cotton. These are fibers leftover from productions, which are collected and then spun on a specialized machine to create an extra-fine yarn. This yarn is then combined with a silk thread to enhance its soft, smooth texture. One of the added values of silk is also its antibacterial and anti-sweat properties. The result is a plush and comfortable sock, enhanced with a touch of bright color to brighten up its basic design.
