Nigel Cabourn Officers Pant Weapon Beige

Inspired by American officers' trousers and more specifically by the classic silhouette of the MacArthur Chino, the Officers Pant Weapon offers a more refined and structured interpretation of the military chino. Nigel Cabourn combines a cleaner cut with a 100% cotton Weapon fabric, developed in Japan using a Nidom Wash that gives it a particularly rich texture and the subtly weathered appearance of a pair of trousers that has already been worn. Its Beige color reinforces its classic and timeless character.

Description

The Officers Pant Weapon occupies a distinctive place within the Nigel Cabourn wardrobe. While the brand is particularly known for its military trousers with generous volumes and relaxed silhouettes, this model takes a more precise and refined approach. Its design is inspired by the traditional MacArthur Chino, with a high rise, two deep front pleats and details directly borrowed from classic men's tailoring.

The construction is based on 100% cotton Weapon, a dense chino fabric whose character is enhanced by the Nidom Wash. This treatment subjects the fabric to intensive mechanical kneading and beating in order to develop its volume, hand and subtly irregular surface. The result is particularly interesting on the Weapon: rather than displaying the perfectly uniform appearance of a new chino, the fabric already possesses a depth and patina that naturally evoke a garment that has stood the test of time.

The Beige color perfectly complements this approach, recalling the traditional tones of chino trousers while allowing the nuances and irregularities developed by the fabric treatment to remain visible. Over time, this light base is naturally expected to evolve further, gradually enhancing the trousers' vintage character.

The details fully contribute to its inspiration. The two front pleats provide additional room around the hips while structuring the silhouette, while the ticket pocket adds that distinctive detail associated with traditionally American-inspired trousers. At the back, the welted pocket reinforces the more refined character of the model and clearly distinguishes the Officers Pant from a classic work chino.

The slightly high rise and controlled volume through the thighs are complemented by a slightly tapered leg towards the hem. This construction gives the trousers a much cleaner line than Nigel Cabourn's more generously proportioned models, without becoming genuinely slim. They can therefore be worn with a tucked-in shirt, blazer or overcoat, while working just as naturally with more casual and workwear-inspired pieces.

Fit

The Officers Pant features a Relaxed Fit with a high rise, a comfortable volume through the hips and thighs, followed by a gradually tapered leg. It is one of the cleaner silhouettes offered by Nigel Cabourn. This construction can be worn without a cuff to maintain a clean line, while still allowing the hem to be rolled for a more relaxed approach.

Why we selected it

The Officers Pant Weapon successfully transforms a classic of American military clothing into a particularly refined pair of trousers without ever losing its utilitarian character. The Weapon fabric and its Nidom Wash are undoubtedly the true highlights of the model: from the very first wear, the fabric possesses a depth and texture usually associated with years of use. The Beige completes the construction with a timeless shade that is easy to combine and particularly effective when worn with shirts, military jackets or workwear-inspired pieces. A pair of trousers that offers an elegant alternative to the much wider silhouettes usually associated with Nigel Cabourn.
