Description

The 1001P is arguably Barnstormer’s most iconic model. Its pattern is based on the classic American “khaki” trousers of the 1950s, which at the time symbolised a more relaxed approach to elegance while still retaining the standards of military-inspired tailoring. Staying true to this heritage, Barnstormer offers a refined interpretation where authenticity meets modernity.

Crafted from a Japanese military cotton twill woven in the Tohoku region, the fabric is finished with a One Wash treatment that immediately provides a soft and comfortable hand while preserving its density and durability. Over time, the fabric will develop a natural patina while maintaining excellent structure and support.

Its straight cut with a slight taper, combined with a high rise and a pronounced central crease, creates a silhouette that is both elegant and comfortable. Smart enough to be worn with a blazer or an Oxford shirt, it also retains the relaxed feel of a true military chino and pairs just as easily with a sweatshirt, T-shirt or denim jacket.

As with all Barnstormer trousers, the 1001P is constructed using tailoring-inspired techniques. The waistband is reinforced with cross-stitching, pocket bags are strengthened to reduce wear, while triangular gussets at the back and crotch, multiple bartacks and the extended fly construction all contribute to the overall durability of the garment.
