Description

With the 1002P, Barnstormer offers a fuller and more tailored interpretation of its iconic chino. Inspired by military trousers worn by American officers during the 1940s, this model retains the historical codes of utilitarian clothing while enhancing them through a more sophisticated double-pleated construction. These pleats add extra volume through the thighs while structuring the silhouette with greater elegance.

Crafted from a dense Japanese cotton twill woven in the Tohoku region, the fabric is treated with a One Wash finish that immediately provides softness and comfort. Despite its supple hand, it retains excellent structure and will gradually develop a natural patina over time without losing its shape.

As with all Barnstormer garments, the 1002P is constructed following the principles of the Dress Chino, a tailoring-inspired approach. Each component is carefully prepared, pressed and shaped before assembly, creating a three-dimensional construction that enhances the trouser’s drape. The engineered seam curves allow the trousers to fall naturally on the leg when worn, while maintaining a structured appearance when laid flat.

Its high-rise straight fit, combined with generous thigh room enhanced by the double pleats, results in a particularly comfortable and well-balanced silhouette.
