The Sashiko weaving is an integral part of Japanese culture. It is a decorative embroidery technique also associated with clothing making. Originally used for firefighter uniforms during the Edo period, today Sashiko is found in Judo and Kendo outfits, as well as in many Japanese brands keen on perpetuating the tradition.
