The Red Wing Moc Toe boot is a classic moccasin-style shoe made in Red Wing, Minnesota. Standing 6 inches high, the Moc Toe was originally designed for hunters and farmers in the early 1950s and built to withstand hard work in challenging weather conditions. The name “Moc Toe” comes from the word “Moccasin,” the traditional Algonquian word for the U-shaped toe design.
The Chocolate Muleskinner leather is a "Rough Out" leather, meaning the smooth side of the leather is on the inside of the shoe, leaving the raw suede exterior exposed. This leather offers many advantages, including water-resistant properties and excellent breathability, allowing the shoe to maintain its shape. It requires minimal care, aside from using a waterproofing treatment and a nubuck eraser to remove marks and stains as needed.
The 8836 is mounted on a characteristic Vibram Cushion Crepe sole with Traction Tred, providing maximum grip and exceptional comfort.
