Description

The Indigo Mil Watch Cap takes its inspiration from vintage military watch caps, functional accessories characterized by a simple, compact construction designed for long-term use. ROTOTO reinterprets this utilitarian silhouette through the knitting techniques and expertise usually applied to its socks.

The cap is knitted particularly densely by combining indigo-dyed cotton yarn with stretch yarn. Once knitted, it is washed and dried to create a robust, stable fabric that is less prone to losing its shape over time. Its predominantly cotton composition also makes it suitable for wear throughout a particularly wide range of seasons.

The use of indigo-dyed yarn, similar to the yarns used in denim production, is one of the model's defining characteristics. Just like raw denim, its colour will gradually evolve over time through wear, friction and washing, developing individual shades and variations unique to each cap.

Indigo dye also requires a few precautions: some colour transfer or bleeding may naturally occur, particularly during the first few wears and washes. ROTOTO therefore recommends washing the cap separately and avoiding tumble drying, which may cause shrinkage.

Fit & Sizing

The Indigo Mil Watch Cap is offered in one size. Its dense knit combined with the elasticity of the fabric allows it to naturally adapt to different head shapes while retaining a secure and comfortable fit.

Its compact silhouette reflects the character of traditional military watch caps and allows it to sit relatively close to the head, with a folded cuff structuring the lower part of the cap.
