Inspired by vintage British waxed jackets, the F2361 Heavy Moleskin Riding Jacket is FOB Factory's interpretation of a traditional Riding Jacket. It is crafted from a heavyweight, high-density cotton moleskin, sometimes referred to as “German Leather” due to its dense, smooth and slightly brushed surface reminiscent of suede. Its straight fit, corduroy collar and large patch pockets draw on traditional utility jackets, while its proportions and construction have been adapted to create a more contemporary silhouette.

Description
For the F2361 Riding Jacket, FOB Factory draws direct inspiration from vintage British waxed jackets, particularly the equestrian styles that helped define this type of outerwear. The Japanese brand retains their main functional characteristics while replacing the traditional waxed fabric with a particularly distinctive material: a heavyweight, high-density cotton moleskin.
Its tightly woven construction gives the fabric a smooth, uniform and slightly brushed surface whose appearance can be reminiscent of suede. This similarity has earned this type of moleskin the name “German Leather”. Beyond its appearance, it is above all a robust and dense fabric designed to gradually soften, conform to the wearer's body and develop its own patina over time.
FOB Factory complements this distinctive fabric with a construction directly inspired by traditional utility jackets. The corduroy collar provides a characteristic contrast in texture, while two angled side pockets offer convenient hand access. These are accompanied by two large, deep buttoned patch pockets, reinforcing the functional character of the jacket.
The front closure combines a two-way Old American YKK zipper with five snap buttons. A buttoned throat latch also allows the collar to be fully closed for additional protection around the neck. An Oxford fabric lining completes a construction designed to retain the robust and functional spirit of the original garment.

The F2361 Heavy Moleskin Riding Jacket retains the straight silhouette characteristic of this style, while FOB Factory has slightly extended its proportions to create a more contemporary drape. Raglan sleeves provide greater freedom of movement and make layering easier, allowing the jacket to be worn over anything from a shirt to heavier knitwear.
