The 0605-V from Momotaro is the streamlined version of the "SP" series, typically featuring the Battle Stripes, two white screen-printed stripes on the right back pocket, a signature of the brand. It is crafted from their exclusive fabric, weighing 15.7oz, entirely made from Zimbabwean cotton. The unique feature of Zimbabwean cotton is that it is still handpicked to this day, preserving all the natural qualities and irregularities of the cotton. This is certainly the most iconic fabric offered by Momotaro, known for its dry, rigid touch and slightly fuzzy surface.

The warp (outer) thread has undergone numerous indigo dye baths, achieving a very deep overall shade. The weft (inner) thread is left in its natural white hue, providing a bright contrast with the dark outer appearance. With repeated wear and washing, this fabric will develop a unique, ribbed, and textured patina, typical of vintage jeans considered vintage today.

The finishes are equally impressive. Most seams are sewn on vintage Union Special machines, like the 43200G for chain stitching. True to form, you also find the signature pink stitching from Momotaro on the inseam, along with copper rivets and a vegetable-tanned leather patch.
