Oni is a mysterious label backed by a true enthusiast who has dedicated 60 years of his life to denim. Always in pursuit of perfection, Oishi-san is constantly experimenting and dedicates himself solely to production. This is why you won’t find a website or an official Instagram page for the brand. This is also why the label is only distributed in a few stores worldwide and exclusively at Flâneurs in France.
Crafted from a selection of the finest American cotton, the fabric features a textured, relatively supple appearance, and a typical irregularity from the Japanese manufacturer, resulting from the use of "slub" cotton threads and a low-tension weave that only Mr. Oishi masters. The deep indigo dye on the outside, combined with a traditional white reverse, allows this denim to develop a nuanced and textured patina.
Always true to iconic details, a pink selvedge ID contrasts with the deep indigo. There are also meticulous finishes such as hidden copper rivets that reinforce the back pockets as well as the pocket bags, and a deer leather patch at the back of the jeans.
The 266 corresponds to the Relax Straight fit. It is a silhouette featuring a very high waist and generous back yoke, accompanied by a straight/wide leg, running from the thigh to the ankle.
