Denime is an iconic Japanese brand founded in 1988 by Yoshiyuki Hayashi. It is known for its faithful reproduction of vintage American jeans, particularly from the 1960s. By collaborating with Kurabo Industries, a pioneer of Japanese denim, Denime has developed authentic selvedge fabrics woven on traditional shuttle looms. This meticulous approach has helped establish Denime's reputation in the high-end denim world.

Denime is part of the renowned "Osaka Five" group, alongside Studio D'Artisan, Evisu, Fullcount, and Warehouse & Co.. Now under the supervision of Warehouse & Co., the brand has undergone several changes in direction, but continues to produce high-quality jeans, valued by denim enthusiasts for their authenticity and durability.

The Lot. 224-66 is a faithful reproduction of the Levi’s 501 model from 1966. This jean embodies the traditional Japanese craftsmanship applied to an iconic American design. It is made from a 14.5oz Japanese selvedge denim, woven on GL3 shuttle looms. The cotton is 100% natural and unsanforized to preserve its structure and authentic appearance. To prevent shrinkage, we chose to pre-wash it using Warehouse & Co. detergent.

The deep and vibrant hue is achieved through indigo rope-dyeing, with a plant-based finish that enhances the authenticity of the result. Every detail is carefully considered: the button fly, the cotton thread seams, the iron buttons, the paper patch, and the white and yellow selvedge ID, a discreet signature of quality.

The cut is straight, with a mid-rise waist, true to the spirit of the 1960s. Designed for pure denim lovers and historical reenactment enthusiasts, the Lot 224-66 from Denime is a characterful jean, designed to last and improve with age.
