Oni is a mysterious label run by a true enthusiast who has devoted 60 years of his life to denim. Always striving for perfection, Oishi-san is constantly innovating and focuses solely on production. This is why you will not find a website or an official Instagram page for the brand. This is also why the label is only distributed in a few stores around the world and exclusively at Flâneurs in France.
While maintaining the authentic touch typical of Oni Denim fabrics, the 246-BKOL jeans are made from a lightweight 12.5oz denim woven on old shuttle looms. Thanks to the low tension weaving, the selvedge fabric is both textured and slightly rough. Its unique shade is achieved by combining a weft (inner) yarn dyed with green sulfur and a warp (outer) yarn dyed with black sulfur. Like indigo, this combination of shades will develop a unique patina over repeated wear. The bright pink selvedge edge contrasts with the overall depth of the color.
The 246 corresponds to the Neat Straight cut, a fitted straight jean with a comfortable high waist, a good rear yoke, and thigh room that extends down the leg for an overall straight drape. To set the size and soften the fabric, it is pre-washed by the brand, providing lightness and comfort from the first wear.
This model runs small, we recommend choosing one size above your usual size.
