The SD-101 draws inspiration from the 1950s, an era when denim was all about strength and durability, without concern for fashion trends. This model features a classic Regular Straight fit typical of that decade, with a slightly higher rise and straight leg, ensuring comfort and timelessness. This cut has all the characteristics to suit a wide range of body types.
Studio D'Artisan chose to craft this SD-101 using their renowned SDA 100 denim, the brand’s signature fabric—a superb Japanese selvedge denim of 15oz woven on some of Japan’s most celebrated shuttle looms. This all-season denim has a medium weave tension, slight natural stretch, and a clean structure which, once broken in, provides remarkable comfort. Blending a white weft with indigo warp yarns, the fabric offers a deep, darker-than-average blue tone, designed to evolve with nuanced fading and strong, high-contrast whiskers and wear patterns.
