Description
The Brawler Selvedge is one of the heaviest and most robust fabrics offered in the Naked & Famous collection. At 17oz, it follows a distinctly heritage-driven approach, inspired by workwear jeans from the 1940s, when durability and garment longevity were the top priorities.
The fabric is made from a blend of virgin cotton and recycled cotton, introducing shorter fibers into the weave. This creates a slightly irregular, “neppy” surface with strong visual character that becomes even more interesting over time. It also enhances fading potential, resulting in high-contrast wear patterns and a deep, evolving patina.
Rope-dyed indigo ensures the fabric gradually fades with wear, revealing natural abrasion zones and unique tonal variations specific to each wearer. The result is a living denim that tells the story of its use.
