Description
With the S6100XX 15oz-SH Seigaiha, Samurai Jeans delivers a highly technical interpretation of traditional Japanese denim. The fabric draws inspiration from the Seigaiha motif, representing rhythmic ocean waves, not as a decorative element but as a structural idea embedded directly into the weave itself.
The denim is built using a pronounced slub weave with two distinct indigo yarns: an outer warp yarn rope-dyed in a rich, bright indigo, and a deeper indigo-dyed weft yarn. This construction creates a deep, textured surface where yarn irregularities produce a visual effect reminiscent of moving water.
The fabric is slowly woven on vintage shuttle looms, enhancing its raw and authentic character. Over time, the contrast between warp and weft produces a very distinctive fade: the warp gradually lightens while the darker weft becomes more visible, resulting in a complex and nuanced patina.
The Slim Straight fit offers a balance between modern style and comfort. It features a slightly higher rise, a comfortable thigh, and a gently tapered straight leg, allowing freedom of movement while maintaining a clean and structured silhouette.
