The New Deck Jacket is a reinterpretation of the famous Deck Jacket N1 (deck jacket) by Manifattura Ceccarelli. The Deck Jacket was worn during World War II by US Navy soldiers to combat the cold on the decks and passageways of ships. It features two external pockets and one internal zippered pocket. Its fitted cut is also the shortest at Manifattura Ceccarelli. Its collar can be worn folded down or raised to effectively protect against the elements. A button placket under the collar can also keep it raised to effectively cover the neck.

This coat is entirely made in Italy from a fabric of 100% cotton double-twisted poplin, highly resistant to wear and abrasion. The material is made water-repellent through a treatment involving immersion in tanks of melted paraffin. It is the fabric with which Manifattura Ceccarelli has been making its winter garments for many years, rendering the garments waterproof, comfortable, and particularly suited for both country and city use. Moreover, it is a material that will develop a beautiful patina over time.

This version is finished with a shearling lining, also present in the hood, blending 90% wool with 10% polyester, warm and comfortable. The sleeve linings are made from Bemberg Cupro, a 100% biodegradable natural fiber. It is a very fine material, similar to silk. It has a smooth surface that does not irritate the skin. It is also a highly breathable fabric, as it quickly absorbs moisture which it then releases through invisible pores. It thus generates heat, especially when combined with another insulating fiber such as wool or down. This heat will be effectively retained thanks to the ribbing at the cuffs.
