Description

The New Deck Jacket by Manifattura Ceccarelli is a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic N-1 Deck Jacket worn by US Navy sailors during World War II. Designed to withstand the cold and damp conditions encountered on ship decks, this jacket retains the essential characteristics of its original military design while benefiting from Manifattura Ceccarelli's Italian craftsmanship.

Entirely made in Italy, this jacket is crafted from the brand's signature waxed cotton, a double-twisted cotton poplin that offers exceptional resistance to wear and abrasion. Its paraffin treatment provides water-repellent properties while preserving a natural and comfortable feel. Over time, this fabric will develop a unique patina, reflecting its use and enhancing the character of the garment.

This version features a warm wool and polyester blend lining, providing excellent thermal insulation while maintaining a controlled weight. Wool has long been valued for its natural properties, offering warmth, breathability and moisture regulation. The sleeves are lined with Bemberg Cupro, a biodegradable natural fiber with a silk-like feel, appreciated for its softness, breathability and ability to facilitate layering.

Its short and fitted silhouette makes it the most compact jacket offered by Manifattura Ceccarelli. The stand collar can be worn folded down or raised to effectively protect the neck from harsh weather conditions, then secured in position with its dedicated button tab. Combined with its double-slider zip and button closure, virgin wool cuffs and functional details, the New Deck Jacket offers a remarkable balance between military heritage, modern comfort and everyday versatility.
