Reproduction of Found ("ROF") is a brand of the Japanese group Eye Found Co. Ltd created in 2016.
The primary goal of the brand is to reproduce shoes and sneakers from the 1950s to the 1990s. It has specialized in training sneakers from various world armies: Canadian, French, American, German, British, and Russian.
This model is a reinterpretation of the iconic German Army Trainer, often abbreviated as GAT. The origins of this model date back to the 1970s, when the German Federal Army ("Bundeswehr" or "BW") wanted to order half a million sneakers resistant to the intensive training of its battalions. Two major German brands, Adidas and Puma, competed for this contract.
The model we know did come to life, but the archives of the time do not allow us to determine which house originated it, and the mystery remains unsolved to this day, with the various participants' accounts feeding the legend.
This version offered by ROF retains the design of the upper part, crafted in luxurious Italian Nappa suede leather with a soft and padded fabric lining for unique comfort. The outsole, however, differs from the original, replaced here by a vulcanized rubber skateboard sole for increased resistance. The spirit of skateboard shoes is felt through the volume of the sneaker, excellent cushioning, and optimal grip. The models offered by ROF are among the best reproductions of the kind and offer great durability combined with immediate comfort.
Reproduction Of Found sneakers fit true to size, you can go with your usual size. If you are between sizes, opt for the larger size.
