Description
The Pile Stripe Marl draw their inspiration from vintage sports and outdoor socks. Their marled knit, ribbed construction and two contrasting stripes around the upper create an immediately recognizable aesthetic, sitting somewhere between functional equipment and retro sportswear.
ROTOTO pays particular attention to the construction underneath the foot. The looped pile sole creates additional volume and forms a soft, cushioned layer that provides extra comfort while walking. The high cotton content also contributes to a comfortable feel against the foot.
This combination of a deliberately simple aesthetic and carefully considered construction perfectly illustrates ROTOTO's approach: using different knitting techniques to improve the comfort of an everyday accessory without unnecessarily complicating its design.
The Pile Stripe Marl are made in Japan, drawing on the specialist hosiery expertise of the workshops ROTOTO works with.
Fit & Sizing
The Pile Stripe Marl feature a classic crew length and a substantial construction that provides additional comfort underfoot. Their pile sole does create more volume than a conventional lightweight sock, however, which should be taken into consideration with particularly close-fitting footwear.
Size S corresponds to EU sizes 37 to 40, Size M to EU sizes 41 to 44, while Size L is suitable for EU size 44 and above.
