This pack of 3 pairs of ROTOTO socks consists of 3 models of traditional ribbed socks, made from organic Chamen cotton. The top part of each sock is knit in 1x1 ribs for light elasticity while maintaining excellent support, while the foot is knit in 4x2 jersey for better cushioning and also to prevent the socks from bunching up in shoes.
It is strongly advised to avoid the tumble dryer, which could cause shrinkage.
ROTOTO socks are manufactured in Japan's largest producing region, Nara Prefecture. The area has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial production of socks was first introduced in 1910, when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a weaving machine from the United States to his hometown after his study trip to the country.
ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with craftsmen to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines according to the type of material and the use of the product. This could be rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines, or, conversely, modern high-tech tools."
ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the craftsmanship of the artisan.
"Preserving the tradition inherited from previous generations, while painting the future with a fresh perspective. We will continue to try to produce things that can only be created here."
