Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing socks in Japan that are warm, comfortable, and soothing. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continuously grown through successive generations and is currently led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.

Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.

The Wool Cotton Slab Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston in the United States is home to many baseball fans but primarily a significant working class. Like any good workwear or footwear, these socks are designed to provide unmatched comfort and enhanced durability throughout their use.

These two-tone socks are made from wool and cotton slub yarns, delicately twisted to create a fine ribbed weave. This type of weaving gives the socks a cocooning feel, with the right balance between flexibility and support. The wool and cotton absorbing dye at different levels allows for tone variations, adding to the overall two-tone hue a vintage look.
