Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and soothing socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara, starting with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continuously grown through several generations and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.
Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.
The Wool Cotton Slab Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston, in the United States, is home to many baseball fans but primarily a significant working class. Like any good workwear or footwear, these socks are designed to provide unmatched comfort and increased durability throughout their use.
These dual-tone socks are made from flame-twisted wool and cotton yarns, delicately twisted to create a fine ribbed weave. This type of weave gives the socks a wrapping sensation, with the right balance between flexibility and support. The wool and cotton absorbing dye at different levels allows for variations in shades, adding a vintage look to the overall dual-tone color.
