Founded in 1995 in Osaka, Warehouse & Co. has established itself as a leading reference in the faithful reproduction of vintage American sportswear. The Lot. 401 draws direct inspiration from sweatshirts of the 1930s and 1940s, a time when these garments were designed above all for durability and functionality. Staying true to this philosophy, Warehouse continues traditional Japanese manufacturing methods, using vintage machinery and rare expertise to create pieces with authentic, timeless character.
Crafted from 100% cotton fleece knitted on loopwheel machines, the Lot. 401 offers a dense, flexible, and exceptionally comfortable texture. This slow knitting process produces an even and durable fabric, while the brushed interior provides softness and insulation. The seamless tubular construction enhances comfort and longevity, while flatlock seams improve overall strength. The double V insert at the collar, featured on both the front and back, is an iconic detail of vintage sweatshirts, originally designed to improve stretch and absorb perspiration.
The fit follows the characteristic proportions of period garments, with a slightly straight silhouette and sturdy ribbing at the cuffs and waistband ensuring optimal support. Versatile and durable, the Lot. 401 perfectly embodies Warehouse & Co.'s commitment to preserving the heritage of American sportswear, while delivering the impeccable craftsmanship synonymous with Japanese workshops.
This model may initially feel slightly oversized, in keeping with the spirit of vintage sweatshirts. However, as the Lot. 401 is not pre-washed, slight shrinkage is to be expected after the first wash (approximately 1 to 3 cm depending on the area and drying method). Washing cold and air drying will help minimize this effect.
We recommend choosing your usual size for a fitted look, or sizing up for a more comfortable fit.

After washing (estimated):
- Shoulders: -1 to -2cm
- Chest width: -2 to -3cm
- Total length: -2 to -3cm
- Sleeves: approximately -1cm
The loopwheel fleece used by Warehouse & Co. will tighten slightly after the first wash, then stabilize. The fabric will gradually become softer and more supple with wear.
