The Lot 5221 Denim Wash Vintage is a denim-specific detergent that removes only stains and impurities while preserving the depth of indigo.
It is often believed that to achieve fading, denim should be worn continuously without washing. However, impurities such as sebum and dust from daily wear can damage the fibers, and prolonged use without cleaning may eventually lead to breakage.
Cotton is a material that stretches with wear, but during washing, the fibers absorb water and shrink, gradually becoming stronger. Additionally, indigo dye oxidizes when combined with dirt, causing it to lose its original color and depth. Therefore, the key to enjoying a pair of jeans for as long as possible is proper maintenance.
The uniqueness of this detergent lies in its strong cleaning power: it breaks down and removes dirt effectively. This is made possible by nanoparticles that bind only to stains without reacting with indigo. Another key feature is its composition, made from soybean fatty acids and purified water—ingredients also used in food—making it environmentally friendly. It has even been internationally certified by a maritime safety agency as safe to be discharged into the sea. It also offers excellent antibacterial properties and is effective in neutralizing various bacteria, including those responsible for food poisoning.
The Denim Wash Vintage developed by Warehouse & Co. is free from petroleum-based surfactants, fluorescent agents, and bleaching agents, which helps minimize indigo fading.
It is available in two fragrances: a floral scent labeled Gold and a citrus scent labeled Silver.
How to use :
- Use 1 cap (10 ml) of solution for 10 liters of water. The guideline for one cap is the line marked inside the cap.
- If you prefer hand washing, apply the Denim Wash directly to stains. It is recommended to soak the denim overnight. Wash your jeans inside out, wring them out, then roll them in a towel to remove excess water. Then dry them right side out, flat or hanging by the legs.
- If you prefer machine washing, place your jeans inside out, zipped and/or buttoned, in the drum. To avoid friction, place them in a laundry net if necessary. Wash at 30°C with a low spin cycle and avoid tumble drying. Dry them right side out, flat or hanging by the legs.
