When it comes to offering high-quality sweatshirts with meticulous attention to detail, the reputation of Warehouse is well-established. The Lot 484 from Warehouse & Co. is inspired by vintage sweatshirts from the renowned American sportswear manufacturer Champion. Founded in Rochester in 1919, Champion began making sportswear and quickly became the official partner of several universities, which helped to promote the "collegiate" style. In 1938, Champion created the "Reverse Weave" technique, involving horizontal rather than vertical weaving to prevent shrinking.
Reproducing meticulously the standards of the 1940s, Lot. 487 features a thick jersey, brushed on the inside, and a cut-and-sew construction that eliminates shoulder seams. The collar is paired with side gussets that enhance freedom of movement, a nod to the manufacturing of sweatshirts from the 1960s-70s, while the blue embroidered label is a reproduction from the early 1970s style.
The relaxed fit is complemented by ribbed cuffs and hem, while the hood with drawstring, authentic Talon zipper, and side pockets complete the design of this authentically styled hoodie.
This sweatshirt fits true to size; we recommend choosing your usual size. It may appear slightly large at first, but will experience slight shrinkage after the first wash.
