Portugal and the family history of the two brothers behind Portuguese Flannel play an important role in the creation of the collections. Coming from a family producing textiles for four generations, Manuel and António aim to change the way the world perceives their country — as a place of value and authenticity.

Renowned for many years for their high-quality shirts, the brand Portuguese Flannel has recently expanded to offer a wide range of carefully crafted trousers, made in characterful fabrics. Here, we chose the Single Pleat Trousers for both its style and its raw material. This single-pleat, straight-cut trouser is made from 100% wool fabric, textured and interspersed with subtle tonal variations reminiscent of tweed. This wool cloth is slightly dry to the touch, which is why the inside of the leg is lined with a softer viscose fabric, providing comfort and smoothness when worn.

The finishing details reflect the maker’s expertise, with an offset double-button closure, reinforced side pockets, and buttoned welt back pockets. The waistband features a 100% cotton lining bearing the brand’s name, as well as a rear comfort V-notch, allowing the waist to fit comfortably or be adjusted if necessary.
