Jackman is the brand of the Japanese manufacturer Tanabe Meriyasu, based in Fukui. It draws inspiration from the heritage of vintage American sportswear while combining recognized craftsmanship to create durable and timeless pieces.
The CMT Umps Pants are inspired by the pants worn by baseball umpires, featuring a practical cut and generous pockets. They are made from 100% cotton tweed with three colored twisted threads. The use of an open-end thread prevents the typical heaviness of cotton, while the fabric is gently brushed using vintage machines to achieve a slightly felted texture reminiscent of wool, remaining light and pleasant against the skin. This technique makes the fabric suitable even for those who do not usually like wool.
The cut combines a comfortable volume at the hips and thighs with a slightly tapered leg for a modern yet relaxed style. The elastic waistband with drawstring allows easy adjustment, and the large side pockets add a practical and functional touch.
