The F2468 Indigo Sashiko Jacket combines highly textured indigo sashiko fabric with a construction inspired by European military jackets from the 1950s and 60s. Entirely made in Japan, it features a stand collar, three front pockets and metal Laurel Wreath buttons. Despite its dense, structured appearance, the fabric remains remarkably supple, making it as comfortable to wear as it is distinctive.

Description

With the F2468, FOB Factory combines its Japanese craftsmanship with European military inspiration. The jacket draws in particular from Czech military models from the 1950s and 60s, recognizable by their stand collar and functional construction.

The jacket is made from indigo sashiko fabric, with both the warp and weft yarns dyed indigo before weaving. This construction brings out a regular pattern of small squares across the surface, creating pronounced texture and a particularly distinctive fabric.

Despite its dense and robust appearance, the fabric remains highly supple when worn. The jacket features a simple construction with three front pockets: a relatively low-set chest pocket and two large lower pockets. Black metal Laurel Wreath buttons complete the design and reinforce its workwear character.

Like other indigo pieces from FOB Factory, the fabric is designed to evolve over time. The contrast between the sashiko texture and the indigo dye will allow the fabric to gradually develop variations in color and character through wear.

Fit

The F2468 features a relaxed fit, with enough room through the shoulders and body for layering. It can be worn as a lightweight jacket or layered over a sweater or sweatshirt as temperatures drop.
