Description

The G3 Denim Pull Over Jacket draws its inspiration from early-20th-century workwear, a period when garment construction was shaped as much by functionality as by the need to make efficient use of fabric. FOB Factory revisits this deliberately straightforward approach with a pull-over garment that sits somewhere between a robust shirt and a lightweight jacket.

At the heart of the piece is the 14oz G3 Selvedge Denim, woven on vintage Toyoda G3 looms. This process creates a denim with a particularly pronounced texture and deliberately irregular appearance, whose character will continue to reveal itself through repeated wear.

For this jacket, FOB Factory also uses the fabric in an unusual horizontal orientation. This construction allows the selvedge line to remain visible around the entire lower edge of the jacket as well as on the chest pocket. Beyond its visual appeal, this detail plays an integral role in the character of the garment and recalls the manufacturing methods of the vintage pieces that inspired it.

Construction is deliberately minimal, with seams sewn on Union Special machines and stress points reinforced with copper rivets. A vegetable-tanned leather patch and chain-stitched finishing complete a garment designed above all to let the fabric and its construction speak for themselves.

The G3 Denim Pull Over Jacket features a comfortable straight fit designed to accommodate several different ways of wearing it.
