The #002 Standard Denim Jacket from Momotaro Jeans is crafted from the brand’s exclusive "TOKUNO BLUE" denim — renowned for its deep indigo tone and unique texture. This 14.7oz selvedge denim, woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, is designed to provide a satisfying rigid feel despite being sanforized (pre-shrunk) but unwashed. To enhance the richness of the indigo warp threads, the fabric composition has been reengineered and finer weft yarns selected, resulting in a more defined contrast and a smoother hand.
The standard fit draws inspiration from the iconic Type II jacket, featuring a slightly relaxed body and balanced length for optimal comfort. In addition to the two signature buttoned chest pockets, the jacket is equipped with discreet, functional side pockets for added practicality. The pattern has been carefully designed to deliver not only a clean, structured silhouette but also natural freedom of movement — true to Momotaro’s commitment to refined Japanese craftsmanship.
