FOB Factory is a Japanese brand known for revisiting classic American workwear with meticulous attention to fabrics and construction details. Based in Kojima, Okayama Prefecture, the brand combines historical heritage with modern Japanese craftsmanship to deliver durable and functional garments.
The F2460 is directly inspired by military and utilitarian garments from World War II. Its simple yet robust construction ensures remarkable durability. The straight, boxy cut provides optimal comfort and freedom of movement, perfect for everyday wear or layering over other pieces.
This model is made from cotton sourced from Cameroon, chosen for its ability to produce irregular, characterful yarns. FOB Factory uses a specific irregular yarn, called “ROCKY”, creating a lively and deeply textured fabric. The 14oz denim is woven at low tension on a vintage GL3 loom, a slow process that preserves the fiber's texture and enhances its slubby appearance. This construction allows the denim to develop a rich, high-contrast patina over time.
Indigo dyeing is applied using traditional methods, allowing the color to penetrate the fibers gradually without fully uniforming them. This ensures a natural evolution of the denim with sharp fades and pronounced contrasts, highlighting the fabric’s depth and character over time.
Thoughtful details – single chest pocket, back martingale, steel buttons, and copper rivets – reflect the brand’s craftsmanship and utilitarian DNA, combining authenticity, durability, and timeless workwear aesthetics that define FOB Factory.
