After months of meticulous development, we are proud to present our first collaboration with one of our most celebrated denim makers: ONI Denim. For this edition, we stepped beyond ONI’s traditional fabrics to craft a completely new textile—while keeping the brand’s iconic textured weave. The result is a distinctive Indigo x Indigo cloth, honoring the precision of Japanese denim craftsmanship.

This 3x3 twill weighs approximately 12oz, delivering durability, comfort, and breathability in equal measure — perfect for year-round wear.

The warp (outer yarn) is woven from 8/1 triple-ply yarn, rope-dyed in indigo.

The weft (inner yarn) is made from the same 8/1 triple-ply yarn, but dyed in indigo using the cheese dyeing technique (チーズ染め / chīzu zome).

By combining these two dyeing techniques, the fabric develops a deep, complex tone that will age beautifully:

• Rope dyeing: Yarn twisted like a rope is quickly dipped into multiple indigo baths, leaving the core white for distinctive, faster fading.
• Cheese dyeing: Yarn is dyed while wound on a cylinder, ensuring deep, even penetration for a consistent indigo tone.

The interplay of these methods creates a lively, shifting surface that responds to light and movement.

The 3x3 weave (triple-ply warp and weft) offers impressive strength while gradually becoming more supple with wear. Unlike the One Wash version, this edition undergoes a BioWash finish — an enzymatic process using natural enzymes (mainly cellulases) to gently remove surface fibers. This results in a softer touch, an even, subtle fade, and preserved fabric integrity thanks to its gentler approach compared to traditional stone-washing.

The BioWash denim is paired with the classic 200 Wide Straight fit: a high-rise, straight, and generous leg from thigh to hem. Ideal for those seeking all-day comfort and a vintage workwear-inspired silhouette, it combines timeless proportions with modern wearability. The BioWash treatment further enhances comfort and gives the indigo a brighter, cleaner tone than the One Wash variant.
