Description
Founded in 1988, Denime quickly established itself as one of the most iconic names in Japanese denim through its highly accurate reproductions of vintage American jeans. A historic member of the “Osaka Five”, alongside Studio D'Artisan, Evisu, Fullcount and Warehouse & Co., the brand is dedicated to reproducing the characteristics and details of the models that shaped the history of American denim.
The Lot 224-66 is inspired by American jeans from 1966, with a construction faithful to the period and a straight fit with a mid-rise waist. Its 13.5oz selvedge denim, developed in collaboration with Kurabo and woven on traditional shuttle looms, offers a rich texture and authentic appearance. Non-sanforized, the fabric retains its original structure and its potential to evolve with wear over time.
This Natural Mother Cotton version stands out through the use of undyed and untreated cotton. This approach gives the denim a particularly natural texture, with a raw and organic feel that will gradually evolve over time and through washing. The result is a living fabric, whose variations and fading contribute fully to the character of the jeans.
The construction incorporates numerous details characteristic of vintage jeans from the period: iron button fly, cotton thread stitching, copper rivets, paper patch and white and yellow selvedge ID. Each element contributes to the brand's commitment to accurately reproducing the aesthetics and construction of historical models.
Fit
The Lot 224-66M features a straight fit inspired by American jeans from the late 1960s. Its mid-rise waist and regular volume from the thigh through to the hem create a classic silhouette that is easy to wear every day. The non-sanforized denim has been pre-washed to minimize shrinkage and make sizing easier.
Why we selected it
For its particularly authentic approach to vintage denim and the richness of its Natural Mother Cotton fabric. Combining the precision of a historical reproduction, the expertise of Kurabo and the raw character of untreated cotton, the Lot 224-66M offers a denim experience centered around the fabric, the details and the natural evolution of the garment. A pair of jeans with character, designed to develop a beautiful patina and improve with wear over time.
