Samurai Jeans is a Japanese brand founded in 1997 by Toru Nogami in Osaka, Japan. From the beginning, Nogami-san stood out for pushing the limits of denim, focusing on heavy fabrics, artisanal details, and meticulous finishing. Inspired by the spirit of the samurai, he aimed to create jeans combining durability, aesthetics, and authenticity.
The S0510XXⅡ is a mid-rise, straight-leg jean made from “Otokogi” denim spun from Texas cotton. This 15oz denim, with its slubby and neppy textures, is slowly woven on a traditional shuttle loom. It features one of Samurai Jeans’ most iconic signatures: the Silver Lamé selvedge edge with metallic thread. This selvedge is distinguished by the integration of a silver metallic thread along the edge, evoking the shine of a katana blade and enhancing the uniqueness of each piece.
Details include a 5-button “Rising Sun” fly, copper rivets, a vegetable-tanned goatskin leather patch, “Syogyomujo” jacquard pocket bags, and raised belt loops, highlighting the meticulous finishing and Japanese craftsmanship.
This model runs small, so we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual size.
