Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, pleasant, and comforting socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continued to grow through successive generations and is now managed by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.
Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.
The Cashmere Ribbed Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston, USA, is home to many baseball fans but especially a very present working class. Just like any good work garment or shoe, these socks are designed to provide unparalleled comfort and increased durability throughout their use.
Thanks to an extremely rigorous selection process, these ribbed socks are made from ultra-fine, top-quality cashmere with an average fineness of 15 microns, traditionally harvested in Inner Mongolia, one of the 5 autonomous regions of China. This region is considered by many to be the best cashmere-producing area. The carefully selected fiber is turned into yarn at a specialized mill in Japan, with the sole purpose of preserving its softness, warmth, and great moisture regulation capabilities. The ribbed weave perfects this pair of luxurious socks, offering superior softness and comfort without compromising on the durability and strength characteristic of the craftsmanship of Nishiguchi Kutsushita.
