Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing socks in Japan that are both warm, pleasant, and comforting. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continued to grow through successive generations and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.

Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.

The Cashmere Ribbed Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston in the United States is home to many baseball fans but is particularly known for its significant working class. Just like any good work clothing or footwear, these socks are designed to provide unmatched comfort and enhanced durability throughout their use.

Thanks to an extremely rigorous selection process, these ribbed socks are made from ultra-fine premium cashmere, with an average fineness of 15 microns, traditionally harvested in Inner Mongolia, one of China’s 5 autonomous regions. This region is considered by many to be the best cashmere producing area. The carefully selected fiber is spun into yarn at a specialized mill in Japan, with the sole purpose of preserving its softness, warmth, and great moisture-wicking capabilities. The ribbed weave perfects this luxurious pair of socks, offering superior plushness and comfort without compromising on the strength and durability that epitomize the craftsmanship of Nishiguchi Kutsushita.
