Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and comforting socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in Nara Prefecture with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continuously grown through successive generations and is currently led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.
Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.
The Cashmere Ribbed Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston, USA, is home to many baseball fans but especially a significant working class. Just like any good work garment or footwear, these socks are designed to provide unmatched comfort and enhanced durability throughout their use.
Thanks to an extremely rigorous selection process, these ribbed socks are made from ultra-fine premium cashmere with an average fineness of 15 microns, traditionally harvested in Inner Mongolia, one of the 5 autonomous regions of China. This region is considered by many to be the best cashmere-producing area. The carefully selected fiber is spun into yarn at a specialized mill in Japan, with the sole purpose of preserving its softness, warmth, and great moisture-regulating capabilities. The ribbed weave perfects this pair of luxurious socks, providing superior softness and comfort without compromising on the strength and durability characteristic of the craftsmanship of Nishiguchi Kutsushita.
