When it comes to high-quality sweatshirts with meticulous attention to detail, Warehouse has a well-earned reputation. The Lot. 483 from Warehouse & Co. draws inspiration from vintage sweatshirts by the famous American sportswear manufacturer Champion. Founded in Rochester in 1919, Champion began producing athletic apparel and quickly became the official partner of several universities, helping popularize the collegiate style. In 1938, Champion developed the "Reverse Weave" method, weaving horizontally instead of vertically to prevent shrinkage.
Faithfully reproducing the standards of the 1940s, the Lot. 483 features thick jersey with a brushed interior and cut-and-sew construction that eliminates shoulder seams. The crew neck is complemented by side gussets for ease of movement, echoing the sweatshirt designs of the 1960s-70s, while the blue embroidered label replicates the early 1970s style.
The relaxed fit is finished with ribbed cuffs and hem, and the heathered Oatmeal color, typical of classic sportswear, completes the authentic look of this sweatshirt.
This sweatshirt fits true to size, so we recommend choosing your usual size. It may feel slightly oversized at first but will experience a small shrinkage after the first wash.
