Oni is a mysterious label, driven by a true enthusiast who has dedicated 60 years of his life to denim. Always in pursuit of perfection, Oishi-san is in constant search, dedicating himself exclusively to production. This is why you will not find an official website or Instagram page for this brand. It is also the reason why the label is distributed only in a few stores around the world, and only at Flâneurs in France.

Drawing from vintage jeans and natural indigo-dyed fabrics, Oni Denim wanted to offer, with the model 02516P-OFDB, a 13.7oz denim that is quite different from what is usually found. Made from a selection of the finest American cottons, the fabric has a marked texture, relatively soft, with the irregularity typical of the Japanese manufacturer, resulting from a low tension weaving process that only Mr. Oishi knows the secret to. The "Old Blue" shade is a unique creation and the result of numerous tests. To achieve this hue, the warp threads are dyed with indigo, but with far fewer pigments than typical raw denim. The addition of a secret sulfur touch creates "Old Blue," a distinctive blue that recalls the color of mountain lake waters in certain glacial landscapes.

As with classic Type II jackets, this model features two buttoned chest pockets, a five-button closure, the famous ease pleats, and contrast stitching.

This version offered by ONI has nevertheless been slightly modified, including the addition of two side pockets designed for hands, as well as a greater overall length and a slightly narrower armhole than the original models.
