A true iconic piece from the Korean brand FrizmWorks, the Karakoram Down Parka has established itself as a staple over the seasons. It is a modern reinterpretation of the famous Karakoram parka created by Eddie Bauer in 1953 at the request of Charles Houston, a seasoned mountaineer who aimed to climb K2, the world's second highest peak, part of the Karakoram mountain range. This historic parka was born under these circumstances, designed for the extreme conditions of what climbers call the "Death Zone," situated beyond 8000 meters in altitude.

This parka is distinguished by its warmth and robustness. Its durable outer shell combines cotton and nylon for greater durability, while its insulation is provided by a filling of duck down enriched with feathers, offering excellent heat retention, good breathability, and significant compressibility to facilitate storage and transport.

In terms of details, the parka features two large double patch pockets with buttoned flaps at the front and back, an adjustable hood equipped with a visor and a metal rod for better structure, and a zippered closure reinforced by a button placket to prevent the cold from seeping in, just like the ribbed cuffs that secure the wrists. Numerous drawstrings also allow for adjusting the fit according to the desired look.

Its relatively loose and comfortable fit allows for easy layering with the Karakoram. This Deep Blue variant offers a soft and luminous blue shade, promising great ease in pairing.
