Portuguese Flannel prioritizes quality over quantity. The brand uses exclusive fabrics that are traditionally made and produced in certified Portuguese textile companies. All pieces are then crafted in northern Portugal. The collections are also made from natural materials like cotton, linen, or wool. This is also true for the buttons, made from corozo or mother-of-pearl. Portugal and the family history of the two brothers who founded Portuguese Flannel play a significant role in the creation of the collections. Coming from a family that has been in the textile industry for four generations, Manuel and António aim to change the world's perspective on their country, a place of value and authenticity.
Here, we find a classic shirt, featuring an American collar and a chest pocket. It is presented in a Brushed Oxford, a brushed Oxford fabric that adds texture to the material and gives the impression of a "light flannel". The particularity of Oxford shirt weaving is having dyed warp threads and white weft threads. The result is a twill weave that offers a softer and less saturated hue. The brushed effect also achieves a less pronounced color than a classic Oxford.
This shirt features a blend of vertical white stripes and "Moss Green" (which leans towards gray).
