Portugal and the family history of the two brothers behind Portuguese Flannel play an important role in the creation of the collections. Coming from a family involved in textile production for four generations, Manuel and António aim to reshape the world’s perception of their country, as a place of value and authenticity.

The Brushed Oxford is a shirt with a timeless design, meticulous finishes, and strong versatility. Of medium weight, it is crafted from a brushed Oxford fabric that gives the material texture and the impression of being a "light flannel." The distinctive feature of Oxford shirts lies in their weaving, with dyed warp yarns and white weft yarns. The result is a basket weave (a method of interlacing threads) that offers a softer, less saturated hue. The brushed effect also produces a more subtle color compared to a classic Oxford.
