Portuguese Flannel values quality over quantity. The brand uses exclusive fabrics, made traditionally and produced in certified Portuguese textile companies. The same is true for the buttons, which are made from corozo or mother-of-pearl. Portugal and the family history of the two brothers who founded Portuguese Flannel play a significant role in the creation of the collections. Here, we find a classic shirt, featuring a American collar and a chest pocket. It is offered in Brushed Oxford, a brushed Oxford fabric that adds texture to the material and gives the impression of a "light flannel". The distinctive feature of Oxford shirts is having dyed warp threads and white weft threads. The result is a twill weave (a method of interlacing the threads) that offers a softer and less saturated hue. The brushed effect also results in a less pronounced color than a classic Oxford.
