Samurai Jeans is a Japanese denim brand founded in 1997 by Toru Nogami in Osaka, Japan. From the very beginning, Nogami-san set out to push the boundaries of denim by focusing on heavy fabrics, artisanal details, and meticulous construction. Inspired by the spirit of the samurai, he aimed to create jeans that combine durability, aesthetics, and authenticity.

The S0511XXⅡ features the renowned “Otokogi” denim made from Texas cotton, reinterpreted in a more modern silhouette. This 15oz fabric, both slubby and neppy, is slowly woven on a traditional shuttle loom, resulting in a rich and irregular texture. It also showcases one of Samurai Jeans’ most iconic signatures: the “Silver Lamé” selvedge ID, which incorporates a metallic thread reminiscent of a katana blade.

This model is cut in a Slim Tapered fit, featuring a mid-rise, comfortable room in the thighs, and a gradual taper down to the ankle. This silhouette maintains the comfort of traditional denim while offering a more contemporary, refined look.

Details include a 5-button iron “Rising Sun” fly, copper rivets, a vegetable-tanned leather patch, jacquard pocket linings “Syogyomujo”, and raised belt loops, all highlighting the brand’s attention to detail and Japanese craftsmanship.
