Each piece pays tribute to artisanal craftsmanship: the name of each person who contributed to its creation is proudly displayed on the label, a testament to small-scale, deeply committed production.
What is Ikat weaving?
Ikat is a traditional weaving technique originating from Asia, particularly Indonesia, China, and other Asian regions, which involves dyeing the threads before weaving to create patterns. These patterns emerge during the weaving process through the precise placement of the colored threads. Ikat is a complex process that requires several steps, including the search for patterns and colors, spinning, dyeing with knots to reserve areas for the pattern, and finally weaving. Ikat pieces are unique and can be used for various types of garments, including shirts.
