The SD-1002 is an iconic piece of Japanese denim. Crafted from 15oz selvedge denim, it is woven on the GL3 shuttle loom, successor to the legendary Toyoda G3. The newly introduced Wide Straight fit by Studio D'Artisan revisits traditional straight cuts, featuring a generous rise while offering a fuller leg from thigh to hem.
The SD-1002 fabric stands out thanks to its unique construction on the GL3 shuttle loom. This vintage machine, operating at a slow pace, produces a textured denim with beautiful yarn irregularities, resulting in a lively appearance and exceptional fading over time. The dense weave also ensures outstanding durability.
Every detail of the SD-1002 reflects Studio D'Artisan's commitment to craftsmanship: a 4-button engraved fly, copper rivets, chain stitch construction for enhanced strength, and a goatskin leather patch that will develop a rich patina with wear.
